First shift hours are 7:
00am to 3:
30pm ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, as well as other duties that may be assigned at supervisor discretion.
Operates hoists, rigging, and cranes after appropriate training, and as needed for the safe moving and banding of frames.
Safely moves frames within shop to an area designated as a lay down area for the paint department and in a manner to prevent damage to company equipment and always being aware of the safety of co-workers.
Operates forklift to move bundles of banded components to the lay down area(s) for the paint department.
Operates various hand and power tools such as saws, staplers, and cutters, etc.
to prepare wood spacers for stacking of components in the weld cells and/or areas as assigned to support the work of the Company.
Staples pins to cut wood spacers for use in the building of the bundles of components in the weld cells and/or areas.
Collects and disposes of excess strapping each day.
Keeps the wood cutting area clean and free of sawdust or any other kind of debris creating by the processing of the wood spacers Measurement methods and tools - Effectively understands, uses, and performs various measurements in an accurate manner including lengths of material as measured by tape measure.
Works in a safe manner obeying Company safety policies, OSHA Guidelines, accepted metal working methods and common safety practices.
Wears appropriate safety equipment and protective devices, steel-toed boots, gloves, safety glasses and hearing protection, etc.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Ability to read follow specific Instructions.
Ability to read correctly log completion of work.
Ability to read process, procedure, and instruction manuals.
Demonstrate ability to Count, Add, Subtract fractions and decimals.
Forklift Experience required PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ELEMENTS:
Production environment include working indoors with exposure to heat, cold, noise, heavy equipment, and machinery Physical requirements include climbing, stooping, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing and repetitive motion Must be able to exert up to 50 lbs.
of force occasionally, and / or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 20 lbs.
