We have an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Pharmacy Technician.
The ideal candidate would have previous pharmacy experience with PrimeRx/Micro Merchant Systems, though this is not required.
A Pharmacy Technician's primary job is to receive and fill prescription requests for patients.
These prescription requests can come from physicians, nurses, hospitals, or directly from the patient.
Their work is overseen by a licensed pharmacist.
The duties carried out by pharmacy technicians include:
Retrieving prescription orders Counting, pouring, and measuring tablets, liquids, and other dosage forms Mixing medications and selecting proper prescription container Organization of pending pharmacy labels that are awaiting pharmacist verification.
Other responsibilities include:
completing cash register transactions, answering phones, coordination of vaccinations to be administered by the pharmacist or nurse, assisting patients with on-site COVID tests, and more.
Must have strong customer service skills, be a multi-tasker and a team player.
